Take the Next Small Step
Trusting God with small steps of obedience

There are moments when the weight of the world seems too heavy, the call to bring Good News to the ends of the earth too daunting, and the way forward too unclear. Yet in the midst of it all, God whispers, “Trust me.” He isn’t asking for perfection or grand gestures — just the next small step of obedience. And again and again, God takes these simple, faithful steps and transforms them into something immeasurably more than we could ask or imagine. It’s his Spirit at work, moving through us to bring that Good News to the world, just as he promised through his Son in Acts 1:8 — “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Small steps in Egypt and Brazil lead to huge breakthrough for the Kingdom.
I’ve recently witnessed this truth in ways that still leave me awestruck. When we shared The Chosen with over 150 pastors and countless others in Egypt, the response was overwhelming! Thousands were introduced to the story of Jesus, many in their heart language, sparking a ripple of faith across the region. The joy of seeing pastors and leaders commit to using The Chosen as a resource in their churches is something only God could have made possible. We took a few small steps of obedience, and God opened doors only he could open, ensuring the story of Jesus will reach places and peoples throughout the Middle East.
And I watched him do it again in Brazil.
At the Dunamis Conference in São Paulo, 15,000 students and 2,000 church leaders gathered for worship, and just after a screening of Come and See’s EVERYONE video — with its call to bring the story of Jesus to everyone — the stadium erupted. The Spirit moved, creating new partnerships and opportunities to share The Chosen with the world. Just one example: Bible Society Brazil is committed to sharing The Chosen with 3,200 Amazon River communities this Christmas, bringing the Gospel to some of the most remote parts of the world. And projection systems, translated Bibles, and discussion guides will be left behind, ensuring the message continues to grow long after the screenings. We took a few small steps of obedience, and the story of Jesus is now reaching into Asia, Europe, and beyond.
What’s your next small step?
We are living in days where we are seeing the promise of Acts 1:8 come to life in powerful ways. God’s Spirit is moving, and The Chosen is becoming a vessel for sharing the story of Jesus to the ends of the earth. From Egypt to Brazil — and soon to the Philippines and India, where The Chosen will be released in seven languages — we are witnessing firsthand how the Gospel transcends borders, cultures, and languages, reaching hearts in ways only God can orchestrate.
But this isn’t just about numbers or milestones. It’s about God’s faithfulness and how he is using small acts of obedience to make his name known. So — what’s your next small step to bring the story of Jesus to the world? Maybe it’s a conversation or a prayer. Maybe it’s saying a ‘yes’ to something he’s been nudging you toward.
Whatever it is, trust him.
Big things can happen.
Ways to continue to pray for the work of Come and See:
We are so thankful for God’s faithfulness and the opportunity to witness his hand at work. More than anything, this is a moment for all of us to celebrate what God is doing through The Chosen and Come and See, while also praying for him to continue the work he’s begun:
● Praise God for his faithfulness in opening doors in Egypt and Brazil. Pray for the seeds planted to bear lasting fruit.
● Thank God for the partnerships being formed to share The Chosen with thousands of communities globally. Pray for the resources and leaders needed to see these initiatives flourish.
● Pray for the show’s ‘launch’ in India and the Philippines, that the translations will connect deeply with people and lead to transformation through Jesus Christ.
I thank God for you — our more than 140,000 prayer partners — who lift up The Chosen, Dallas, his family, and the Come and See team in prayer. Together, we are witnessing God’s power to move mountains, multiply efforts, and change lives for his glory.
Let’s keep praying, let’s keep praising, and let’s keep walking forward in faith.
In Christ,
