A Call to Pray for the Hardest Chapter Yet
Finding Faith in the Weight of Surrender

Have you ever known something hard was coming — and felt the Holy Spirit preparing you for it?
Something so weighty that you couldn’t shake the ache in your chest or the lump in your throat?
The kind of moment where you know God is inviting you to walk through something costly?
You just know you’re stepping onto the holy ground of surrender — the space between Yes, Lord and Now what?
It could be a tough conversation you know you need to have.
A diagnosis that will reshape your life.
A big move you feel called to make.
A step of obedience that feels like a free fall.
You pray, you wrestle, you surrender. And slowly — almost imperceptibly at first — your fear turns into faith. Your sorrow makes space for joy. That’s the power of surrender: when we hand over the weight of the moment to God, he carries us through to something greater than we imagined.
That’s what it feels like as we make our way to the next season of The Chosen, Season 6.
Season 6 isn’t just another chapter; it’s the culmination of the greatest act of love in history — the betrayal, suffering, and crucifixion of Jesus. It’s where everything he’s said and done points: his ultimate surrender, his final hours, his unwavering obedience to the Father … for us.
You’ve probably heard Dallas Jenkins say it already — this is the biggest and most critical season yet. And he’s not exaggerating. The emotional weight coming out of Season 5, straight into the Cross, is staggering. With everything, The Chosen is pressing forward into a season that deserves the very best we have to give. The mission hasn’t changed. If anything, the stakes are higher than ever. So, we need to pray over every. single. detail. Let’s lift up the storytellers, cast, crew, and production team that is capturing this epic chapter of The Chosen. Because just like the Cross, what’s coming might be painful.
But Resurrection is already on the horizon.
Those on set have shared that the scenes filmed during just the first week of production are already more weighty than anything from past seasons. As we approach the most intense and emotional part of Jesus’s story, here are specific ways you can be praying for the production of Season 6:
Pray for Filming & Production Logistics: Filming for Season 6 officially began on April 14, and will run through August. Key scenes will be shot in Utah and Texas — which means the coming months will be filled with travel, transitions, and long days on set, often in intense summer heat. Pray for smooth transitions, safe travels, and supernatural strength as production is underway. Ask for divine favor, excellence, and creativity over the countless details — set design, camera angles, weather conditions, lighting, and more. Pray for the completion of funding of Season 6. Pray that the awe-inspiring message of Jesus is captured in every frame, all for God’s glory.
Pray for the Cast & Crew: From The Chosen’s creator Dallas Jenkins to Jonathan Roumie, Elizabeth Tabish, Paras Patel, Shahar Isaac, and more, there are a total of 338 crew members and 94 cast members working tirelessly in front of the camera and behind the scenes to bring this season to life alongside hundreds of extras. Lift up their health — physical, emotional, and spiritual. Pray for endurance, unity, and encouragement as they carry the intense weight of this story. Ask that each person would encounter Jesus anew through the role they play — on set and in their own lives. May every crew member feel the presence of God and know the joy that follows surrender.
Pray for Global Impact: Season 5 is still making its way into hearts around the world — and Season 6 is already on the horizon. Praise God for the 50+ languages already available on The Chosen App. Pray for the teams translating, adapting, and distributing these stories to every corner of the earth. Ask God to prepare hearts — from college students to prisoners, from churchgoers to seekers — so that when they hear the words “It is finished,” they understand the love behind them. Our prayer? That a billion people will be introduced to Jesus through this portrayal of the greatest act of love in history.
